One of the most obvious ways which we created a link between them all was the colour scheme, we always kept it the same through out all three products. For the film poster and one of the end credits in our trailer we kept the name of the film in the same font and colour scheme, which was white with an inner glow, you can really see the inner glow end credit, than to the film poster. This will be seen by everyone and they will recongnise the font and colour scheme of red which will make them realise that these two products are related.
Our final product is in the left hand corner, our draft of our magazine is in the right, which is where you can see where we used the the same font as the film poster but as you can see it does not look as professional as it could do. We re looked at the 'Total Film' magazine and decided to go as the same look as them with the same font for every bit of text on the page that is how we created our final product. We kept the colour scheme the same as 'Total film' which was a black and white image, with white and red font, we also interrupeted that into our film poster and trailer with the red inner glow and white font. We used the colour scheme as it seemed to work best for our genre which we picked, which is Horror, the red can be interpreted as blood and the black as darkness and death. Noramlly you would use the same font for all your products this is so people won't be confused with whether or not they are related to each other, and yes maybe since we haven't used the same for our magazine front cover it might seem a bit confusing, but we decided as a group that to promote our products as professionally as we can do, we decided that we would risk using a different font for our magazine cover as it in the long run it would work out for the best.
We decided on the colour scheme of red, white and black as that represented our genre the most which is Horror.
The colour red is represented as blood and fear, quite a lot of horror films use red as it as seen as danger. This probably wouldn't represent what my film is about as there is no blood or goriness in my film, it's of a posessed girl.
The colour black is represented as darkness, scariness as well as mysterious, as it's such a dominant colour it works really well with the red and white to make them stand out. The black could be used to represent our antagonist maybes they are dark and mysterious
The colour white represents the balance between all the other colours in the colour scheme which we have used, it works well as it stands out great on our film poster and magazine front cover.
The poster on the right hand side is one which we took inspiration from, of having half of each girls' faces. We liked how one of the models was stood infront of the other and then the other one directly behind the other, so there shoulder overlapped, this would be instead of having them shoulder to shoulder as that shot would be to wide and you would end up getting less of their faces and more of their bodies.
Tis trailer is one of the most versatile products, as you can show the screening of this traier before a ovie screening at the cinema which has of the similar genre of horror, it could also be shown on TV, this would have to be at certain times, since it's aimed at fifteen year olds we couldn't show the trailer at mid day or after school because if younger children saw it, they may become scared and there would also be a lot of complaints from parents all over the country. We would probably have to show this after the watershed which is after nine o'clock. It could also be screened through adverts on youtube before the main video plays, or clips could be advertised around some websites. We could even make different trailers, either making this one shorter or adding different scenes in, so people don't get bored of seeing the same trailer over again, so by showing new clips on an advert it woud get the audience more interested and make them want to go and see the film more.
Thr images below are of our film poster and magazine front cover being displayed on billboards or in magazines, this is just to show you what the potential outcome of our poster and magazine cover could look like in the real world.
The two images here are of what our film poster would look like on billboards outside of cinemas, or on billboards around cities
This is what the posters would look like if they were on signs around towns and citie centres.
This is what the film poster would look like if it was displayed in a magazine
This is what the poster would look like if it was displayed at a bus stop
This is what the film poster would look like if it was displayed on a billboard in a busy place
This is what the film poster would look like if it was being advertised on a street corner
This is what the film poster would look like if we advertised it in Times Square in New york City, it's very busy there so lots of people would see it.
This is what it would look like if it was also displayed in a busy place like Times Square
This is it being displayed also on a billboard in a busy place
This is the poster being displayed on a wall, this is so people will walk past and see it. The other image is of our magazine front cover on an actual magazine.
