The USP of Battleship is that the singer Rihanna stars in it, which is a main selling point as men will see her a sexual icon and women will see her and think and might aspire to be like her, since males find her attractive.

As you can see by the profile, most viewers are male, this is because they find these sort of action films more interesting, where as females may prefer a romantic comedy.
